Coming out on top in their respective groups, Elements Pro, Vega, FRIENDS, and Virtus Pro have earned themselves a place in the BTS Series Europe #4 playoffs.
After playing three sets of best-of-twos over five days, Vega, FRIENDS and Elements Pro have secured themselves at least a 3rd-4th place finish in the online event. As for Virtus.Pro, they had to play two additional best-of-ones to secure themselves the same position due to their group ending with a three way tie.
With the group stage completed, the battle for the $5000 prize pool will continue in a single elimination bracket where the four remaining teams of the initial 16 will be playing. The play offs begins on Monday at 13:00 CEST and will be streamed by Beyond The Summit.
Of all the groups, Vega had the strongest performance, managing to win all three of their matches, thereby obtaining the highest overall points in the group stage. Following closely behind, with a win-draw record of 2-1, is FRIENDS, a team who fell off the radar in late July but has returned stronger than ever after some roster changes, they eliminated Escape Gaming, the The International 6 13-16th finishers.
The BTS Series Europe #4 is the third BTS Series Europe this year and features a revamped format and a smaller prize pool, down from the BTS Series Europe #3's $10,000. The changes made to BTS Series Europe #4's format is large, with Beyond The Summit opting to run a group stage and playoff, as opposed to a 16 team single elimination bracket as seen in previous seasons.
