LGD claims Maybe still on team

Contradicting Maybe's action of leaving LGD a few days ago, LGD has released a statement saying that Maybe will still be staying on the team.

On the 28th of August, without any prior announcement or indications from himself or LGD, Yao 'Maybe' Lu quietly left the LGD-Gaming roster for next season. This is at odds with the contract Maybe signed with LGD that is supposed to be effective until 2019. One day after Maybe's departure, LGD released a statement on Weibo claiming that Maybe has not left the team.

Translated quotation from statement:

LGD Dota 2 team's Maybe is still under contract with the organization, and we have no intention to release him. After thorough communications between both parties, he will remain in LGD and LGD will create a roster around him. This roster will be announced before the end of the reshuffle period because it has not been finalized yet.

Assuming both the statement is true and that Maybe intended to leave the team, it is plausible that Maybe will be joining a secondary LGD team when the add period begins. As of writing, the stipulated outcome would mean that LGD will be short of a mid and a carry player when the add period begins. However, it is possible that Maybe just left the team without a reason and will be re-joining LGD when possible.

Like several other Chinese organizations, LGD is no stranger to having multiple teams. In the past, the organization has supported teams such as LGD.int (2012-2013) and LGD.CDEC (2014) in addition to their main squad.

In August last year, Maybe signed a contract with LGD lasting till 2019, forcing his to either stay with the team or be bought out.
