Digital Chaos reign supreme over TnC, the Pinoy sensation at TI6

The two biggest surprises at TI 6 were delivered by Digital Chaos and TnC Pro Team who survived until day four of the main event against all odds. Unfortunately one was bound to leave the tournament today as they finished facing each other in the opening series of today’s lower bracket matches.

Game One

In the first draft of the series,TnC had the first pick and took Vengeful Spirit and Drow Range,r which triggered more of a reactive draft from DC who tried to deny some of the Pioy team’s known combos and also focused on not allowing them to get out with a  full aura stack. So, DC ended up with a good push line up with Beast Master, Dragon knight and Naga Siren and tried to take TnC by surprise with an aggressive trilane.

But, in doing so, they left Beastmaster to solo the safe lane against the Batrider - Venge and he couldn’t avoid feeding kills to the bat and lost the laning stage. TnC’s Bat had a five minutes Drums of Endurance on top of Tranquil Boots and DC were unable to stand against TNC’s pushes in the midgame. Only 15 minutes into the game TNC was able to push high ground on the back off Bat’s Blink Lasso initiations and from there on all they did was to keep up the pressure on DC to grab the victory at the end of a dominant performance.

Game Two:

For the second game TnC came up with a  total different approach and started the draft with Axe and Timbersaw picks, but at the same time DC also had a clear plan in mind and secured a big wombo-combo with Magnus - Faceless Void - Ancient Apparition. TNC tried to save the situation and shut it down with a last pick Silencer but unfortunately the laning stage went terrible for them.

Fifteen minutes into the game DC was in a tremendous lead after what can be called a perfect laning stage, and all that kept them from assaulting the high ground was the lack of BKB’s to deal with the global Silence. With the game transitioning into the mid stage, Marc Polo 'Raven' Luis Fausto on Alchemist started to finish his key items and with him in the front lines the Filipino team recovered the gap and looked like they had a real chance at coming back. Unfortunately for them Aliwi 'w33' Omar had a really good game, finding the right angles for initiations and prevented the Pinoy to actually take any advantage. With their BKB’s and Mantas finished around the 30 minute mark, DC started again to force the team fights and regained the map control. After a full five men team wipe on TnC at the 41 minute mark, Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok bought a Divine Rapier on his Ember Spirit and DC wiped the SEA team three times in a row in their own base to push the series in a decisive game three.

Game Three:

The last game drafting stage started with the usual Mirana pick, followed by Wyvern for DC but as TnC picked Terrorblade fairly early, DC went with a fast pace line up to prevent the late game scenario. They put Resolut1on on Slark who had free farm during the laning stage and with Mirana also being able to win the lane against the Alchemist, DC snowballed fast, making great usage of Winter Wyvern’s Ultimate to control the team fights and to secure themselves at least a top six finish at The International 6.
