The second Season of Nanyang Championships will end tomorrow with the three strongest teams from China fighting for the tournament title. Wings Gaming, Newbee and LGD will dispute their supremacy in the two game series left to be played.
Left alone against five Chinese teams, Digital Chaos were eliminated today by LGD Gaming and finished the competition in 5th-6th position, their best performance at a LAN event so far.
Tied with DC on the same 5th/6th position and taking home a $7,550 share of the total prize pool, Vici Gaming Reborn were knocked out from the tournament by CDEC Youth in the second round of the lower bracket. However, the youngsters couldn’t survive the next round where they faced the TI6 directly invited team, LGD Gaming.
The last day in the Nanyang cosy house setup created by KeyTV in Shanghai for this second season will start with two top Chinese teams, Newbee and LGD Gaming facing each other in the best of three lower bracket final. The winner will join Wings Gaming in the Grand Final, which is set to commence at 09:00 CEST. Newbee and LGD already met once, two days ago in the upper bracket round two, when Newbee took the series 2-0 with a Drow Ranger aura strategy. Tomorrow’s lower bracket match might be the last big clash in a LAN format between the two teams who are going to TI6 on a direct invite.
