OG are the ESL One Frankfurt 2016 Champions
After many months of people asking if Na’Vi were indeed back, they found themselves in the finals of ESL One Frankfurt 2016. Standing in their way were the recently crowned Manila Major Champions and the team at the top of world rankings right now, OG who secured another trophy for their name with a final 3-0 game score.
Only six teams invited at The International 6
Minutes after the ESL ONE Frankfurt 2016 Grand Finals finished, Valve made the The International 6 invites public. None of the American teams received one.

6.88: Hero buffs with a side of nerfs
Shortly after OG took their second Major victory, Valve has released the 6.88 patch, featuring limited nerfs and multiple buffs for the under utilized heroes. The full patch notes can be found here.
Universe and Zai return to Evil Geniuses, Aui is out once again
A week before the open qualifiers for The International 6 commences, Aui_2000 found himself teamless as Evil Geniuses drops him from the squad once more to welcome back both UNiVeRsE and Zai.

Eight European teams, split into two groups, will battle in a best-of-two round robin format for a chance to join Liquid, Alliance, Vega and Empire in GGM's double elimination playoffs stages.
DeMoN to play for TnC at TI6 open qualifiers
TnC Pro Team announced on their official website that DeMoN joined the Filippino squad. He will be indeed replacing John Linuel 'Teehee' Abant and will play position 4 support.

The Summit 5: The redemption vote begins, direct invites released
OG, Liquid and Na'Vi will be joining Wings, Fnatic, Digital Chaos and Ad Finem at the LAN event of The Summit 5 taking place in Los Angeles, USA from the 13th to 17th of July.For this iteration of The Summit, the opportunity to vote for your favorite team in the redemption vote will be given for every purchase at the newly opened Summit shop; for every dollar spent, the customer is entitled to two votes. Stretch goals have also been revealed by BTS, with purchases in the shop contributing to the stretch goals and $100,000 base prize pool.
Sky announce airing of first UK 24/7 eSports TV channel
Sky, along with ITV, a prominent commercial TV network in the UK, plan to acquire shares of Ginx TV, producer of international video gaming TV channels. Together, the trio aim to increase exposure of various eSports events, such as FACEIT's eSports Championship Series, Turner's ELEAGUE, Valve's The International amongst others. Titles covered so far include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2.
International eSports Federation seeks formation of 'Athletes Commission'
Moves to legitimize eSports internationally continued today with the International eSports Federation (IeSF) announcing their intention to form an ‘Athletes Commission’. The formation of such a group would provide a link between the participants themselves and the world organisers, and the IeSF hope it is the next step toward eSports gaining IOC accreditation.
