Starladder i-League #2 SEA qualifiers: Fnatic dominates the finals

After repeating their 2-0 defeat of Mineski in the group stages of the Starladder i-League #2 SEA qualifiers, Fnatic take the first invite to the LAN event to be held in July.

The first invite to the Starladder i-League #2 LAN event goes to Fnatic after their near clean sweep of the SEA qualifiers, which saw the drop just one game in the group stages. Featuring eight teams battling for a share of a $300,000 prize pool, the event will be held in North America between the 21st and 24th of July at an as-yet undisclosed location.

Game one

A solid read on Mineski's jungling Doom allowed Fnatic to run dual lanes to pressure all three lanes, secure experience and farm on their heroes. This paid off as Fnatic's Slardar secured several ganks with his levels after rotating away from the offlane to provide Batirder quick advancement and a Blink Dagger. Eventually, with Blinks on the Slardar and Batider, Fnatic were able to consistently find pick-offs and make up for their multiple failed high ground attempts. In one of the high ground attempts, Mineski underestimated their damage and over-extended, resulting in a lost game.

Game two

Similar to Fnatic's last series against MVP.P, Mineski and Fnatic exchanged ganks consistently. This stalemate was broken when Fnatic quickly took Rosh and and some towers with their Aegis. Just as Fnatic were pushing to take Mineski's tier two mid tower, Mineski made a positioning error and were blown up by a Ravage and Requiem of Souls. Subsequently, the Filipinos lost their Barracks and were forced to call GG.
