OG sweep the Grand Finals of DreamLeague #5

After a three game series OG takes DreamLeague Season 5 Grand Finals 3-0.

Game One:

Game one started strong for OG as Andreas 'Crit-' Nielsen got the first blood on Victor 'GeneraL' Nigrini with the help of Tal 'Fly' Aizik and Johan 'N0tail' Sundstein. He and Amer 'Miracle-' Barqawi were the key players as the non-stop pressure mid from Spirit Breaker's charges and the damage from the Templar Assassin were dominating the early game. All this snowballed into the mid game with OG pushing relentlessly until they got the top set of barracks at 22min with a score of 22-6. One final fight near the Roshan pit a couple of minutes later, where Na’Vi lost all their heroes, triggered the GG call, OG taking game one.

Game Two:

Game two started with a similar situation - GeneraL went down for first blood, but this time it was a bit bloodier with a double kill for N0tail as Crit- traded his life for Chens. The teams went back and forth with emphasis on very prolonged fights. One in the mid lane saw Dendi being sent back by Chen, then teleported back into the fight, while the Phoenix used his laser three times. Things weren’t going Na’Vi’s way as OG seemed to be constantly coming out on top of things. OG went for a prolonged fight mid, took T3 and went away, but a glimpse on David 'Moon' Tan restarted the fight and it ended with Na’Vi dead and their barracks gone at the 33 minute mark.

A long chase where lots of heroes dropped turned into a push for the T3 top lane and a fountain dive from OG. Na’Vi used buybacks to push them back, but died during the chase and the GG was called for game two with the spoils going to OG.

Game Three:

Game three started well for Na’Vi as they got the first blood this time, when Moon dropped to Terrorblade, shortly followed by N0tail dropping to Axe. The over aggression got punished, as the Dazzle lacked Shallow Grave and this lead to both him and Axe feeding while trying to get kills.

Once Miracle got his levels started on the aggression, it was his game. He destroyed Na’Vi and with successful ganks on Terrorblade using Doom, and prospects looked dim for Na’Vi.

OG proved to be relentless and kept throwing themselves at the base until it was gone. Na’Vi fought and defended valiantly, but were too far behind to make any difference and barely got a kill on Miracle, who was taking most of them with him. One last misstep from Dendi led to the fight, where Na’Vi were all wiped and the GG was called with OG taking the Grand Finals 3-0.

DreamLeague Season 5 prize pool distribution:

1st place: OG $50,000
