Manila Major SEA qualifier: XctN is eliminated, Taring at risk

The first day of the Manila Major SEA qualifier play-offs has concluded with the elimination of Execration and the placement of Orange-Taring in the lower bracket.

Proving that they deserve the top place in their respective groups, TnC and Mineski both move onto the second round of the play-offs in the winners bracket. The two Filipino teams will face-off to decide who will book their place in the best-of-five final to determine the SEA representative at the Manila Major, with the loser set to face Orange-Taring for their tournament lives and another shot at the entering the grand finals. The winners bracket match will take place at 05:00 CEST tomorrow.

The games in the upper bracket were generally between 25 to 30 minutes long, featuring core heroes snowballing out of control in most instances. In contrast to the upper brackets' short game length, all the lower bracket matches lasted at least 50 minutes, interestingly with a Medusa and Spectre picked up on one occasion. In all the games, the teams seem to place an emphasis on supports with high team fight potential such as Witch Doctor (drafted in 7/7 games) and Vengeful Spirit (drafted in 6/7 games) and cores which are mobile, like Slardar (drafted in 5/7 games).

In the upcoming TnC vs Mineski match, the 41%-59% betting statistics in favor of TnC indicate the team the community deems are the favorites. As for the previous meetings between the two teams this year, Mineski has one win more than TnC's two, however, in their previous game TnC won 2-1.
