Team Liquid withdraw from WePlay League Season 3

After their second play finish at ESL One Manila 2016, Team Liquid have been forced to withdraw from WePlay League Season 3.

With the WePlay League Season 3 set to begin tomorrow, Team Liquid have been forced to step out of the tournament due to a serious illness sustained by one of their players in Manila. The team manager for Liquid has stated that doctors have disqualified one of the players from any activities in the coming days, thus their withdrawal from the event.

With this information in mind, the organizers of the WePlay League acted swiftly and replaced Team Liquid with Team Empire. This means that Empire will take Liquid’s spot in Group A and face off against Team Spirit as their first opponent. With Team Empire performing admirably in Manila, this should be a fair replacement. As mentioned earlier, WePlay League Season 3 begins tomorrow and is sure to be an exciting event with lots of big teams involved, including Evil Geniuses, who arrive at the event with their new roster.
