Manila Major: The Dota train keeps moving, open qualifiers announced

Following the conclusion of ESL One Manila and the release of 6.87, the sign-ups for the Manila Majors have opened.

The sign-ups are open for the SEA, EU and American open qualifiers for the Manila Major on the FACEIT platform; each region will have two open qualifiers taking place between the 29th and 30th of April (first open qualifier) and the 1st and 2nd of May (second qualifier). Information on how to sign-up can be found here.

Adhering to the open qualifiers norm, the matches will be best of one from the first round-- the round of 1024 --to the semi-finals, with the remaining matches set to be best of three. When signing up for the tournament, players will be given the opportunity to either play as a team with two optional stand-ins or as a solo player, where they will be put together with four other random players. The winners of the open qualifiers will earn themselves a spot in the closed qualifiers for their respective regions.

The Manila Major will mark the end of the first ever set of Dota2 Majors and is set to be the last Major before The International 6. The Major will be structured in a similar format to the previous two Majors, with the top two team from each regional qualifier joining several directly invited teams at the LAN event to battle for a share of the $3,000,000 prize pool.
