A few days before the Filipino qualifiers for ESL One Manila, Rave welcomes back their former players Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross and Ryo 'ryOyr' Hasegawa.
Rave made a name for themselves at the beginning of last year when they placed 5th/6th at the Dota 2 Asia Championships. At that time, ninjaboogie and ryOyr were playing with Djardel 'chrissy-DJ' Mampusti (currently with Fnatic), Jio 'jeyo' Madayag (currently with Team Archon), and Mark 'Cast' Pilar (currently with MSI EvoGT). For the most part of the 2015 Rave had several visa issues and couldn’t attend numerous LANs in a row and after the poor results at the TI5 qualifiers they decided to part ways.
In October last year the Korea-based Filipino team decided to make a competitive return announcing a national contest in Philippines, scouting for talented up and coming players willing to make the next step with their gaming careers. Five fresh talents were put together for the new Rave team but it seems the squad needs more than that to be able to achieve a real comeback in the international competitive scene.
Today it was announced via Facebook that ninjaboogie and ryOr decided to reunite and compete again under the Rave banner with hopes to represent Philippines for the upcoming ESL One Manila.
