Two weeks after the first winners of ProDota Cup were crowned, the online tournament it’s back with the second edition.
ProDota Cup season 2 is set to take place over the course of one week, and will again have two separate competitions, one for Europe and one for America, both of the tournaments with a $5000 prize pool each.
A small change has occurred for the second season and the US competition will feature only directly invited teams while European teams get their chances doubled in the open qualifiers.
It seems that the US open qualifiers weren’t worth for the organizers and they decided to drop this part for the second season, instead Europe will have two sessions of open qualifiers in which the winners and the runners up will advance into the cup.
Although no official announcement was made regarding the invited teams, the European competition is set to take place between January 22th to 29th while the US main event will begin a bit earlier, on January 18th and will end on 29.

Team Spirit for Europe and Shazam for US are the first winners of ProDota Cup, and it’s expected that both squads to receive an invite for the second season.
