Valve officially announces the dates for the Shanghai Major qualifiers both open and invited.
The Open Qualifier for the Shanghai Major will be held from the 3rd to 6th of January 2016. The Regional Qualifiers will follow directly from the 7th to the 10th of January.
Teams will be able to register with their roster for the Open Qualifiers from the 18th of December 2015. Details on said registration haven’t been announced yet. It’s meant for everyone as well as teams, who couldn’t make and register a stable roster until 8th of December or aren’t invited to the Regional Qualifiers. For the Frankfurt Major even people without teams could register and be matched with four other solo players.
The Event itself will be held in Shanghai, China from March 2nd-6th 2016 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. It will be produced by Perfect World and again, similar to the Frankfurt Major, have a prize pool of $3,000,000. Ticket information for those wishing to attend the event in person will be announced to a later date.
