Global eSports Cup: 4C&L destroy their competition

The mid-day recap for day two of the Global eSports Cup playoffs.

MVP.Phoenix vs Complexity:

Game one:

It was a game of comebacks as both sides had their chance to snowball out of control, when MVP.P's TA and Slardar got their key items up, they managed to secure a significant lead for their team. But, they were unable to close the game before Complexity's Drow built his core items and Complexity were able to win the game off a great fight.

Game two:

Game two gave way to yet another close game, the early game started off slowly but as the mid game arrived, MVP.P's Jakiro started to push some towers. As the towers were being pushed, multiple fights which resulted in an even trade ensued, but when Complexity managed to win a potentially game turning fight, MVP.P managed to repel them and take a set of rax. With this new found advantage, MVP kept it up and won.

4C&L vs Complexity:

Game one:

Kills were traded back and forth, with 4C&L's Night Stalker and Bara and Complexity's Undying and Rubick finding kills. After 4C&L's finished their Mek on Viper, they engaged in a fight at top lane and team wiped 4C&L, they did not push the lead and slowly lost it after multiple poor fights. In the end, Complexity failed to keep up their momentum and succumbed to 4C&L's lineup after getting team-wiped at the rosh pit.

Game two:

After the first blood, a lengthy pause was have to fix some technical issues. When the game resumed, both sides quickly exchanged kills and then went back to passive laning. 4C&L managed to gain more map control than coL and started to out farm them. Through this advantage providing cushioning for the mistakes 4C&L made, they managed to find a good fight and force coL's GG out.

NLG vs 4C&L:

Game one:

4C&L achieved a very clean victory, ending the game in 26 minutes with a 25k net worth lead. The game started off very well for 4C&L's Batrider, securing two kills in the first seven minutes in the game, allowing him to get a seven minute blink. Getting ganks off and making space for their SF to farm, 4C&L were able to start winning teamfights after SF got his SnY and Aegis. Once NLG lost a teamfight, 4C&L were able to take over the game and destroy them.

Game two:

Game one's early game was similar to this game's early gmae, 4C&L's offlane - a Beastmaster - was able to secure a solo kill in lane and multiple kills in other lanes with his lead. This gave 4C&L the necessary map control for their SF to farm and their team to find quick ganks; 4C&L tried for NLG's highground when they were confident with their lead. 4C&L failed two highground attempts due to multiple heroes getting caught by NLG's Slardar's crush and Tiny's Avalanche. Just as NLG were about to comeback, they lost a Roshan fight and a fight in their base, allowing 4C&L to force their GG.
