compLexity revives almost the entire stayGreen HoN roster

With the addition of Limmp  and Chessie, four out of five stayGreen Heroes of Newerth team are now reunited in DotA 2 under the banner of compLexity Gaming.

Although they had pretty decent run at The International 5, compLexity Gaming suffered serious roster losses, up to the point where only the two NA brothers, swindlemelonzz and Zfreek were left with the organization.

It was no surprise to see them struggling in the many qualifier events this fall, using numerous stand in players and never been able to secure a stable roster. It looked like the turmoiled times had passed once they participated at the Global eSports Cup Americas qualifiers, where they managed to grab the only spot available for the region at the Vilnius studio LAN.

At the GeC qualifiers it was the first time when Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin played with his former team mates from HoN - swindlemelonzz and Zfreek.

stayGreen was the most dominant team in Heroes of Newerth, winning five LANs in a row back in 2012-2013 and accumulating 52 consecutive victories. The fifth player of the team was the actual Alliance player Johan 'Mynuts' Andersson.

Kyle Bautista, compLexity General Manager said to GosuGamers earlier today that, “there’s always been talk of getting the band back together, with Chessie having recovered to the point that he's able to compete again.”

The timing of Ninjas in Pyjamas disband made it possible for compLexity to follow their dream of reuniting more members from stayGreen, as now Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin has joined his ex teammates from HoN. Along with Limmp, Simon 'Handsken' Haag has also joined compLexity Gaming for now.

Unfortunately Vlad-prfct, one of the supports that played with the team during the qualifier stage at GeC has visa problems and he won’t be able to attend the LAN event in Vilnius and that’s why compLexity will bring Luis 'ZyzzY' Perez as a backup for Chessie just in case his back problems are going to hit again.

compLexity Gaming roster for Global eSports Cup:

Sweden Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin
Sweden Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin
United States Kyle 'swindlemelonzz' Freedman
United States Zakari 'Zfreek' Freedman
Sweden Simon 'Handsken' Haag
Mexico Luis 'ZyzzY' Perez - substitute

Kyle Bautista official statement:

We’re extremely excited about the addition of Chessie, Limmp, and Handsken to the team. Handsken brings the kind of solid, communicative support that the team needs, while the brothers have grown quite a bit in their time away from compLexity. I can’t wait to watch this team come together and compete at the highest levels. I’m even led to believe that Limmp’s 8,000 MMR means we will win the next Major, right?

Additionally I would like to personally thank Luis for his commitment to being the best teammate he can be. He has been a big part of our success over the last year, and we’re grateful that he has opted to continue on as part of the team during this transition.

Asked if this is the roster that we should expect to see on the Shanghai Major registration list for compLexity Gaming, Kyle Beef Bautista said: “yes, this is the roster we anticipate using for the Major.”

The new complexity will travel at the end of this week for their first LAN event after the International 5. GeC Vilnius studio LAN studio will take place from 30th of November to 3rd of December and will determine which four teams will advance for the Grand Finals that will be held on 5th and 6th December at Dreamhack Moscow.
