All the 16 National participating teams at the first edition of National Dota 2 Cup have registered their full line-ups for the event and suddenly the tournament became even more interesting due to more tier one players showing on the lists.
When the official announcement of the tournament came online everyone would have placed team Russia as the favorite to win it all as their line-up features some of the finest players from the CIS scene.
However, Team Ukraine captain, Resolut1on came with the perfect answer and managed to bring to his team two Natus Vincere players, Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich and Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov along with Andrey 'ALWAYSWANNAFLY' Bondarenko and Ilya 'Alohadance' Korobkin.
Apart from these two teams that are bringing TI caliber players to the table, there a few others that can definitely create the upsets. Team Finland will be playing with the full 4 Anchors and Sea Captain Roster while Sweden will be represented by LemonDogs.
Although Romania has quite a few well-known Dota2 figures in the pro scene namely b0ne7, w33, Ar1se, ComeWithMe and even canceL^^ who’s more known in the Romanian community for his entertaining stream, none of them are going to represent the country at National Dota 2 Cup. In fact under the Romanian flag will be playing one of the top teams from the country, XPC Gaming.
Other notable apparitions would be Sébastien '7ckngMad' Debs for France, and former London Conspiracy teammates Nikos 'ReaLaxXx' Kiazolis and Giorgos "SsaSpartan' Giannakopoulos representing Greece.
The sixteen teams will be placed in four groups. First two teams from each group will advance into the main event playoffs. The rest of the squads will play tiebreakers to decide which ones will go to the Upper Bracket and who will drop to the Lower Bracket in the Main Event. Being at its first edition, National Dota 2 Cup has a $10,000 starting prize pool.
