Dota2 Girls Super League announced with $20k+ prize pool

Ten girls only Dota2 teams will be battling it out in the Dota2 Girls Super League for their stake in more than $20,000 of prize money.

The Dota2 Girls Super League is a tournament organized by ZhanqiTV featuring ten invited Chinese girls-only Dota2 teams.

The tournament is split into an online and offline part. In the online part, the ten invited teams play each other in a best-of-one round robin, the winner scores one point and the team with the highest points at the end wins. As for the offline portion, the winner of the round robin will play the other teams in a king of the hill styled format; for each series won in this offline portion, the winner receives $1500. The offline portion also allows to challenger to pick from a pool of game modes, a few notable ones are death match, OMG and all random.

The online portion of the tournament will take place between the 18th of August and the 30th of September, from 13:00 CEST to 14:00 CEST; a best-of-one series will be played out every day. The offline portion of the tournament will take place from the 9th of October through 11th of October and will feature three games a day, the timings for these games were not announced. 

In addition to the main tournament, the DGSL also features viewer games where stream viewers will be selected to play with the invited teams; there will be one viewer game played per day, scheduled from 14:00 CEST and 15:00 CEST. The winners of the viewer games will be rewarded with $78 worth of in-game currency (50,000 Dao Bi, Perfect World's Dota2 ingame currency).

Prize money for different categories:
- Prize pool for winner for online portion: $15,600
- Prize pool for offline portion: $1500 per series won (nine in total)
- Prize for abiding tournament rules and regulations: $2300 per team
- Prize for winning viewer match: $78 worth of ingame currency (50,000 Dao Bi) per match

Of the ten teams participating, there are quite a few teams who are relatively well known, they include, LGD.Girls and Team MuLan, two teams who have had put up a relatively good performance in the past.
