Even though Ninja in Pyjamas lost the race for the last chance at this year’s International when they got eliminated by Vega Squadron in the Lower Bracket of Europe qualifiers, they did really good in the next few tournaments.
NiP won their first LAN title immediately after the TI5 EU qualifiers, at jD-MLG Pro League in Austin, Texas being also the first team who got awarded with a gold medal in DotA 2 history. On home soil, at Dreamhack Summer they finished on third position in the Dream League#3 LAN finals and the in the recent Dota Pit League Season 3, NiP finished in the fourth position.
