The fans of Newbee.Y and Tongfu are in luck as these two teams face off in the finals of a tournament once again. This time around, it is a best-of-five in the finals of the HuomaoTV Mid-Summer League.
Both Newbee.Y and Tongfu have one last best-of-five to win before being crowned the champions of the HuomaoTV Mid-Summer League and being able to walk home with the RMB80,000 ($12,800) grand prize. This best-of-five will be taking place on the 23rd of July, 12:00 CEST.

The HuomaoTV Mid-Summer League finals are identical to the finals of a similar tournament, the Douyu Cup. The fact that both Tongfu and Newbee.Y were able to repeat their performance in this tournament shows that they are probably, for now, the best among the up and coming teams in China. Newbee.Y put up an impressive performance in the loser's bracket of this tournament, going flawless against relatively strong teams such as VG.P-a team that crushed Newbee.Y in the winner's bracket and also a team that gave Tongfu a hard time when they faced off. As for Tongfu's performance, they were able to dominate Team123, 2-0, and also defeat VG.P.
Tongfu are the favorites to take this tournament as they have very recently defeated Newbee.Y in the Douyu Cup and have a 4-2 recent game win-loss against Newbee.Y. That being said, Newbee.Y was not easily defeated in the finals of the Douyu Cup, losing 2-1; considering the finals of this tournament being a best-of-five, the odds for the match is likely to be 50-50.
