After almost a week of group stage games we finally have the last four teams advancing into the Esportal League Playoffs. Three CIS representatives and 4 Anchors + Sea Captain are the teams to battle it out in the playoffs' upper bracket.
The first game from last night was to decide which team, between Vega Squadron and mYinsanity, goes further into the competition and which one will end its journey. At the end of the two games played Vega had the better teamfights setup and they dominated mYi being the first team of the evening to advance into the Playoffs stage.
The other elimination game was held between 4Clover & Lepricon and 4 Anchors + Sea Captain. The meeting between these "two four plus one" was a much more captivating and exciting one as both teams put on a show in every single game.
4C&L were dominating in the first game of the series, winning it in just 27 minutes with the annoying split push power that Broodmother can provide. The second game started well for them as well but 4 ASC had a lineup of many saves with Dazzle and Winter Wyvern that made Nemphy’s Shadow Fiend pretty much immortal and forced out a decisive game three.
The last game of the night was a long one with 77 minutes needed to establish the winner. Although the scoreboard was showing tight numbers as kills were traded evenly for the most part of the game, it was Trixi on Clockwerk who made the difference for the Finns. With some incredible Hookshots landed he put his team in a much better position in teamfights and with that they managed to cut down the pub stars team 4Clover & Lepricorn.
The playoffs' upper bracket will kick off tomorrow, July 2nd with Team Empire facing Vega Squadron from 17:00CET fallowed at 20:00CET by Virtus.Pro versus 4Anchors and Sea Captain. All games will be covered by Beyond the Summit on the Esportal dedicated Twitch.tv channel.
