Secret pulls out of DotaPit 3 to focus on TI5

Team Secret announced on their Twitter just minutes ago that they will be dropping of DotaPit Season 3 in order to focus on the upcoming The International 5. The International 5 groupstage is approximate one month away.

The DotaPit Season 3 tournament has been running since the 13th of February; playoffs since 18th of April. Once the playoffs began, DotaPit organizers ended up pushing their matches back over and over due to a congested schedule in the Dota 2 scene.

Matthew 'Cyborgmatt' Bailey, manager of Team Secret told GosuGamers, "Due to numerous delays with this season of Dota Pit we have unfortunately reached a stage where we have prioritise our focus on preparing for The International and are no longer able to continue in Dota Pit Season 3.

"We wish the remaining competitors and Dota Pit the best of luck with the remainder of their season."

Prior to the pull out, manager of Bailey previously called out Evil Geniuses on not setting a schedule for their winner bracket semis match. After almost two months of wait, the long awaited match was finally played on June 15th and Team Secret ended up dropping to the loser bracket after losing 0-2 to the American powerhouse.

Team Secret's pull out will allow their supposed opponent Ninjas in Pyjamas to advance to the next stage of the tournament, the loser bracket semis. The current prize pool of DotaPit Season 3 is a little over $265,000.
