Power Rangers and HellRaisers eliminated from Esportal

Esportal League’s group stage is almost over and the first two teams to leave the competition are Power Rangers and HellRaisers after they played their deciding games last night.

Day 3 of Esportal League started with the do or die best of three series between mYinsanity and Power Rangers, their own survival in the competition being on the line for these teams. It might have been a rough year for PR but even so, mYi were the underdogs for this confrontation but this didn’t stop the Swiss squad to take the series home with an impressive 2-0.

The duo Phantom Lancer – Keeper of the Light was the flavor of the night, first time being handled by Power Rangers as for the second game it was mYi who snatched the two heroes for themselves.

In the opening match PR chose to go for the common item build on their PL with Diffusal, Manta but they lost the farming battle to mYi’s Anti-Mage who was on a dominating streak only ten minutes into the game due to fabulous neutrals camps stacking carefully prepared for him by his supports.

When it was mYi’s turn to play the PL, the Swiss opted for an interesting strategy that prioritized the mobility potential of their line-up and they went for a very early split push with Boots of Travel first item on their Phantom Lancer. A key factor in their success was was Admir “lizZard” Salkanovi?-Keeper of the Light, who displayed impressive plays and great positioning, winning almost every teamfight for his team which made mYinsanity to prevail over Power Rangers in the end.

The other elimination series brought together the pub stars line-up 4Clover&Lepricon and what used to be a Russian powerhouse team, namely HellRaisers.  For their last showing in Esportal League, HR had to play with two different standins than the ones they used two days ago and this seemed to hurt them quite hard.

4C&L simply crushed HR in both games, running very successful aggressive tri lanes in both of the games they forced a lot of rotations out of HellRaisers who lost the tempo and the control of the map from the early stage of the game. Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist  who got to play his Earthshaker (6-1-24 personal score) in the first game and Dazzle for the second one was the mvp of the night, creating chaos every time he decided to initiate the fights.

Tonight we will have only one game to be played in Esportal’s group playoffs as the group A front runners Virtus.Pro and Vega Squadron will face each other for a spot in the winner bracket finals. The best of three series will start one hour later than we got used by now, at 18:00 CET and it will be broadcasted by Beyond the Summit on the Esportal dedicated twitch channel.
