Kingdom snaps TnC's winning streak in Corsair Gaming Arena

TnC's winning streak at Corsair Gaming Arena came to an end today after they were defeated by Singaporean team Kingdom in the grand final. Despite the loss, TnC will be walking away with $500 in cash while Kingdom will bring home $1,500.

Kingdom, the 10% favourite of the grand final faced tough opponents to get into the grand final. The Singaporeans took down Thai team Agility only to face Arcanys in the quarter-final and subsequently Team 123 (formerly known as G-Guard) in the semi-final. Kingdom managed to dispose Arcanys without much issue and destroyed of Team 123's line-up with a Weaver pick. The final game against TnC ended in a 2-0 victory for Kingdom who was sporting a Omniknight pick in game one and another Weaver pick in game two.

The Corsair Gaming Arena is a two day event featuring some of the best teams in South East Asia. Currently in its fourth edition, this season is also the least competitive one with the earlier three featuring SEA giants like Fnatic, Rave, Mineski and G-Guard.

The first edition of the tournament was won by Team Malaysia while the second and third were won by TnC. In fact, TnC's invite to the SEA qualifier of The International 5 could mostly be attributed to their win against Team Malaysia in the second edition of the tournament.

According to joinDOTA, a total of 146 teams joined the open qualifiers of the tournament and they narrowed it down to eight. Among over hundred of teams joining are some notable ones like G7, Sabun and Assail.

Corsair Gaming Arena #4 also served as the first tournament MSIevoGT and Team 123 participated in. Team 123 made it to the semi-finals of the tournament while the earlier got knocked out in the round of 16.
