LGD sweeps VG 3-0, wins I-League 3

LGD pulled off a big upset today as they beat VG 3-0 in the I-League 3 grand finals to secure themselves the title and $209,694.

The third season of I-League came to a close today with LGD taking first place, Vici Gaming finishing behind them and Team Malaysia coming third. This is  the first title for the new LGD roster and with this sweep over Vici, they've definitely raised a few eyebrows.

LGD Gaming were not the team on everyone's mind coming into the tournament but they managed to surprise. On their way to the grand finals they had to beat VG.P, NewBee and Team Malaysia. VG were big favorites coming into the grand finals since they triumphed over LGD in the upper back finals 2-1 but Director8's team beat expectations to secure the title.

Vici Gaming are always one of the favorites coming into LANs and this one was no different but once again they fell in the final stage. Since the Chinese heavyweights won Starladder XII, they've reached two finals and one semi-final but lost all of those, starting off with Team Empire in the D2CL grand finals, Evil Geniuses in the Summit 3 semi final and this grand final against LGD.

Team Malaysia also went on a big run after dropping down to the lower bracket, defeating Vici Gaming Potential, Alliance and NewBee before finally falling to LGD in the lower bracket finals. The Mushi-lead squad finished third overall.
