Redbull Battlegrounds Chinese Qualifiers: LGD in finals

Having started earlier today, the Chinese qualifiers of the Red Bull Battle Grounds have one finalist confrim, LGD Gaming. As for the other teams, EHOME have been eliminated and Newbee and iG are fighting for their spot in the grand finals.

The second qualifiers of five, the Chinese qualifiers, that the Red Bull Battle Grounds have planned have started with LGD showing a dominating performance and making it to the finals via the winner's bracket, taking down iG and Newbee to get there. They await the winner of the loser bracket to play out a best of three where the winner will book their tickets to the lan finals in the USA on the 5th of May and have a shot at improving their stake in the $75 000 base prize pool. Concurrently, EHOME have been eliminated, Newbee and iG will be fighting for the other team's elimination.

These four top Chinese teams have been consistently taking games off each other with LGD, iG, EHOME and Newbee all having shown that it is almost impossible to predict the winner. iG have taken down LGD 2-1 in their most recent game before this qualifier, however in their first game in the qualifiers, LGD took down iG 1-0, continuing their current hot six game win streak. A few of their impressive results include their victory over EHOME who have previously taken down iG 2-0.

The game between Newbee and iG will be interesting to watch as Newbee have been struggling to find their momentum, having a 17% win rate in the previous month; but the team have been showing signs of life, having taken down EHOME in their game in the qualifiers, showing off their potential. It will be interesting to see if they are able to carry on their performance against the sixth best team in the world according to Gosurankings.
