Besting 15 other top teams from the SEA region, Team MY has taken home the prize of $2000 after besting Can't Say Wips in the finals of the GEST SEA Cup
Once again proving that they are one of the best teams in the SEA region, Team MY has taken down former SEA champions, CSW, without dropping a game. This adds to the list of top SEA teams they have defeated since the formation of the team last month; earlier in the week they took down MVP.Phoenix to secure their spot as the SEA representatives to Starladder 12.
Game one featured mid game orientated lineups from both teams with Team MY opting for a gank line up with a Storm Spirit and Beastmaster and CSW going for a deathball lineup with Chen and Troll Warlord. The game started off slow with minimal rotations from both sides, this went in favor of Team MY who were able to edge out CSW in majority of their lanes resulting in their three cores being in the top three in terms of net worth at the 14 minute mark. Following a period of pushing and defending, Team MY found an initiation opening and destroyed CSW in a fight, cementing their lead. With the lead, MY took multiple Roshes and as a result sets of CSW's barracks one by one, forcing out the gg call from them.
Game two, CSW picked an overall strong lineup with heroes that work well at various stages of the game together. As for MY, they had a mix of heroes with a mid-late game peak with picks such as Dazzle and Ember Spirit. After the evening out, both teams enter a stalemate at mid which was only broken when they fought at the Rosh pit. The fight ended badly for Team MY and following that, they had a string of badly executed teamfights resulting in them conceding a lead to CSW. But following a kill on treant by MY on CSW's third Rosh attempt, MY took the aegis and a set of rax but as MY were about to attempt a second set of rax, CSW killed three forcing them to retreat. With this, MY retreated and waited for the fourth Rosh before taking the aegis and pushing highground to take another set of rax, forcing out the gg and netting themselves the $2000 prize.
