The SEA qualifiers for Starladder are completed with Team MY triumphing over MVP.Phoenix in the finals, therefore booking their ticket to Bucharest for the lan finals.
?With this win, Team MY will be traveling to Dreamhack Bucharest on the 24th of April where they will battle to better their stake in the $80 000 base prize pool.
The SEA qualifiers for Starladder 12 has been filled with drama starting with Rave being replaced by Signature.Trust leading many to believe the group stages will be a two way race between Team MY and MVP.Phoenix. However they were proven wrong when Signature.Trust finished at the top of the bracket, furthering their 10 win streak which was only broken in the winner bracket finals by MVP.Phoenix; Signature.Trust was then eliminated by eventual winners Team MY (who also had their 8 win streak broken by MVP.Phoenix) in the losers bracket.
In game one of the grand finals, Team MY started with a ban of Beast Master and Axe, a mistake they will soon regret as this allowed MVP.Phoenix to pick their Ember-io combo which demolished Team MY the last time they met in the brackets, needless to say, the same happened. Of all the heroes on Team MY, Bristleback had one of the hardest times in the game, going 0-11 at one point of the game. A few fights between the teams later, MVP.Phoenix pulled a lead and defeated Team MY with it.
In game two, MVP.Phoenix decided to go for a aura strategy, first picking a Windrunner and Drow, in order to counter this, Team MY picked an aggressive pushing line up; last picking a Leshrac as well. The idea behind the strategy worked out well for Team MY, with them progressively taking all of MVP's outer towers and creating a lead that they crushed MVP.Phoenix with.
As for the final game, Team MY went for a mid game orientated lineup whereas MVP.Phoenix went for a late game lineup with an Antimage pick up. Everything went as expected for the lineups with both teams peaking in the mid and late game respectively, however, due to the Batrider and Razor on Team MY, the Antimage was unable deal any damage in the late game resulting in multiple lost fights. One bad fight after another for MVP.Phoenix and they were overpowered by the mid game lineup of Team MY in the late game.
