Canada Cup is back for Season 5, it features the teams from both South and North America and a $10,000 prize pool. The last season was won by Summoner's Rift. Some of the teams that are invited so far include; Not Today, eHUG and North American Rejects v2.

Canada Cup is a big tournament for the domestic American scene, featuring all the Tier 1.5 and Tier 2 teams and a $10,000 prize pool. A total of eleven teams have been invited, the complete roster includes Not Today, eHUG, Complexity Gaming, Root Gaming, North American RejectsWheel Whreck While WhistlingpaiN-GamingBoreal EsportsVoid BoysChampions of Summer's Rift and Leviathan. The tournament also had an open qualifier, NEL Goons and Rebelds have qualified and have been placed in groups C and D.

This will be the first tournament for the newly formed squad, North American Rejects, they'll be looking to secure an invite to the NA Qualifiers for TI. Not Today also seem to be struggling recently, they lost all the games in the MLG Pro League LAN and will want to bounce back from that horrendous performance. Champions of Summer's Rift were the champions of Canada Cup Season 4, they'll look to retain their title. The tournament will be casted by HighGround TV for English. The first match will be between paiN Gaming and Summoner's Rift and will begin tonight at 00:00 CET.
