D2CL Chinese qualifiers: Group stages end, four teams advance to brackets

The number of teams left in the D2CL Chinese qualifiers are down to four from the original eight. These four teams will proceed to battle in a double elimination bracket for their slot at the D2CL LAN finals.

The four teams who have made it to the second stage are LGD, Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming and EHOME due to their top four placing in the group stages in stage one. All of the teams but EHOME comfortably proceeded from the group stages with at least a four win difference between them and the fifth place team, Newbee.

LGD vs IG, one of the classic match up of Chinese Dota will be played out and is looking to be an extremely even match as both teams have been almost neck to neck in terms of performance and team experience. Not only that, LGD and iG drew in the group stages with both of them having 10 wins each and have shown recently that either team can take it in a best of three with LGD and IG going 1-1 in their head to head group encounter. In the StarLadder 12 qualifier decider match, iG beat LGD 2-1 after a close an intense series.

As for EHOME vs VG, EHOME seems to be the weaker team as they have not been performing as well as Vici Gaming, with a 2-3 win loss this month compared to VG's 8-2. The players on EHOME are also less experience than their VG counterparts with upcoming Chinese players such as Yang 'Zyf' Pu forming part of the EHOME lineup. However, with all these factors in VG's favor, EHOME are not without chance as they have previously proven that they can take games off VG. The group match between the two teams ended 1-1.
