MAS Day 2 : all SEA teams eliminated, Empire and iG dominant

The second day of MAS has concluded, with much fewer issues. However, all the SEA teams have been eliminated, iG and Empire advanced to the upper bracket finals, while NiP and Na'VI are in lower bracket.

The second day of the Major All Stars is over and technical short comings from yesterday were resolved and the fans got to watch some good Dota today, unlike day one. The Mineski Events team lent a helpful hand to the tournament organisers and helped them fix the technical and network issues. Overall things ran smoothly on the second day, except very small delays (5-10 minutes) here and there before a few games.

As for the games; Team Empire and Natus Vincere beat Team Redemption (ex-Arrow Gaming) and Invasion Esports (2-0) in their first round of matches, moving on to the next round where the CIS Juggernatus clashed. Empire beat Natus Vincere (2-0) and secured a place in the winners bracket finals while Na'VI dropped to the lower bracket.

Invictus Gaming also had a very clean run, winning both the matches comfortably (2-0) against Can't Say Wips and Ninjas in Pyjamas, iG's Ferrari_430 had impressive performances on Storm Spirit against the Ninjas and the Chinese Powerhouse moved on to upper bracket finals where they'll face Team Empire tomorrow.

The closest match of the tournament so far was between the Swedes and Rave, where NiP managed to pull through after a very close three game series (2-1). Consequently, Rave dropped to the lower bracket, where the big upset came, Team Redemption managed to beat Rave in the merciless best-of-one match, eliminating them from the tournament.

In the second round of lower bracket, things ran as expected, both NiP and Navi moved on to the next round after beating Invasion and Team Redemption (2-0) respectively. All the four South East Asian teams have been eliminated; Rave, Team Redemption, Invasion Esports and Can't Say Wips. The Empire vs iG and NiP vs NaVI matches will take place simultaneosly tomorrow, at 3:00 CET. For more information on the upcoming matches, head on to the coverage hub
