Eight European squads will have the chance to get their hands on $3000 in the upcoming Iron Trophy cup. The matches of the tournament's single elimination bracket are scheduled to begin today, starting at 18:00 CET with Moscow Five and Vega Squadron.
The fans of European DotA2 will get to enjoy some of the scene's most talented competitors in the Iron Trophy cup. Eight teams from all over the continent will attempt to prove their worth in a single-elimination bracket, and the top-two teams will get to share $3000. All the matches will be best-of-three, with the exception of the best-of-five grand final.
It should be noted that this is the first competition of the year for both XX5 and Lianghao. As both teams contain household names of the European scene (such as Jon 'BabyKnight' Andersen and Alexey 'Solo' Berezin), it will be interesting to see how the two teams perform after their long break.
The Iron Trophy action commences today with the first two matches; Vega Squadron will take on Moscow Five at 18:00 CET, while London Conspiracy will face 4Anchors at 21:00 CET. Live broadcasting of the matches will be provided by RasmusTV in English, EmcTV in Russian and Madao in Greek.
