Vega Squadron qualify for DotaPit Season 3

Vega Squadron have qualified for DotaPit Season 3 after a narrow victory over Moscow 5 International guaranteed one of the two available qualification places. Only Moscow 5 International, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Meepwn'd remain in the qualifier to compete for the final spot.

The first qualifier spot for the DotaPit Season 3 group stages has been filled by Russian team Vega Squadron after they secured qualification by taking down Moscow 5 International in their upper bracket match. The match lasted all three games as Vega were able to withstand a potential comeback from M5 in a dominant final game. Vega move into the grand final of the qualifier where they await their opponent and the second qualified team as the lower bracket games prepare to come to a conclusion tomorrow.

Whoever triumphs in the remaining lower bracket matches will claim the second and final qualification spot, with only Ninjas in Pyjamas, Meepwn'd and the recently defeated Moscow 5 International left to battle it out tomorrow. The day will begin at 17.00 CET with Meepwn'd competing against Ninjas in Pyjamas for the opportunity to take on M5 in the lower bracket final later in the evening.

In the only other match today, Meepwn'd dominated mYinsanity over two straight games to set up a third round match against Ninjas in Pyjamas. Meepwn'd looked comfortable in dispatching the Serbian team in both games with a notable stand out performance from Aliwi 'w33ha' Omar. The carry had a big impact on both games with his Sven and Faceless Void, but on the latter he picked up 11 kills and 11 assists with 0 deaths on record.
