MLG's and joinDota's Pro League will begin tomorrow as the first season opens its doors. 36 teams across three regions will fight it out over several weeks to determine who will play at the LAN finals in Columbus.
The MLG and joinDota Pro League will kick off tomorrow and the first teams to lock eyes will be Invasion and Arcanys for the South-East Asian region and Team Tinker and London Conspiracy for the European region. As for the Americas, compLexity Gaming and Wheel Wreck While Whistling will face each other the day after.
Three regions will see a total of four groups play out a large round-robin stage. Three European teams will advance, two from the Americas and one South-East Asian representitive. These six teams will face one another on LAN in Columbus, Ohi on April 10th. This season is part of the overall World Championship hosted by MLG, which will see a total of four seasons that will culminate at the end of the year.
It is not the first cooperation between MLG and joinDota, as both have hosted and covered the MLG T.K.O tournament in 2014. It will be the third Dota 2 LAN event for MLG, following the MLG Fall Invitational and Columbus championship in 2013.
