An update to the 6.83 map has been released, bringing some nerfs to Juggernaut, Faceless Void, Slark, Brewmaster, Tidehunter and Vengeful Spirit. The respawn timer formula has also changed, increasing the respawn time of heroes during the earlier stages of the game.
An 18.2Mb update was launched recently which brings with itself the 6.83b map. The changelog consists primarily of subtle but significant changes to some of the heroes which have become a common figure in the current metagame. Following are the heroes which have been hit with nerfs alongwith their stats for the ongoing Dota2 Asia Championships qualifiers:
- Brewmaster (Most Contested #3)
- Tidehunter (Most Banned #2)
- Slark (Most Banned #10)
- Juggernaut (Most Contested #2)
- Faceless Void (Most Banned #7)
- Vengeful Spirit (Most Contested #1)
Other than nerfs to the above heroes, the patch has increased the Melee/Ranged barracks team bounty marginally and also increased the respawn timings. The respawn timings will have a more significant impact on the lower levels while it evens out to the old timings as the level increases. Following is a small table to explain the changes to respawn timings.
