Hana departs First Departure

Meracle announces on his personal Twitter account that the teams long term offlaner Hana will be joining the Singaporean army and has therefore decided to depart from the team. This leaves the team with only four players on the roster and no announcement on a replacement.

First Departure's Offlane player Paul 'Hana' Tan has left the team and will be expected to serve for two years in Singapore's National service. Singapore's National service requires all male Singaporean citizens and second-generation permanent residents who have reached the age of eighteen to register for national service compulsorily. The news was announced on Galvin 'Meracle' Kang Jian Wen's personal twitter account this morning.

This will be seen as more bad luck for the Singaporean team, who were unable to travel to The Summit 2 last year and more recently the team were forced to decline their direct invite to the Dota 2 Asia Championships due to 'real life obligations'. Now without a full roster and unable to travel to events, questions will be raised over the future of the team plagued with misfortune.

Hana was one of the founding members of First Departure, first appearing for the team in October 3rd 2012 to compete for the GYGABYTE E-Sports tournament. He stayed with the team even after the departures of Meracle, Wilson 'Poloson' Koh Chin and Jonathan 'SCripted' Lee Wen Jun until January 26th 2014, when he rejoined his former team mates at Scythe Gaming. He rejoined the team just before their successful push through the regional finals for The Summit 2 that landed the team with a $5000 prize after being unable to attend. Following his decision to leave the team, the roster is left as Meracle, Poloson, Chan 'Lubby' Jun Jie and Teo 'Meen-Kaiii' Kai Sheng.
