Day one of the ok Dota2 cup has ended, the day feature the two group stages being played out and the first rounds of the double elimination bracket. Insidious Idol and First Departure are first out. In addition, the debut of Team KS is not going too well.
The tournament has so far been a host of unexpected results. One of the highly favored teams to take the tournament, First Departure, finished at the bottom of their group and was eliminated in the first round of the double elimination brackets. On the other hand, the new RRQ team topped their group; a signal as to the amount of potential the new lineup possess.
The highly anticipated debut of Team KS was arguably a let down as they finished bottom of their group and barely scrapped by the double elimination brackets, nearly getting eliminated by First Departure. An interesting thing to note though is that Benedict 'Hyhy' Lim is not playing with Team KS as he is sick with food poisoning; Benjamin 'Ben' Lim Yi Chong from Natit is his stand-in.
