ImbaTV bans C9 from 3rd season, responds to critic

ImbaTV has reacted to C9's withdrawal from their tournament and has officially banned them from a third season. In addition, the organizers have released an official response to Aui_2000's statement yesterday.

Just yesterday it was announced that Cloud 9 had withdrawn from the ongoing i-League season due to multiple reasons, one of which was the miscommunicated prizepool size. Aui_2000 explained his team's motivation to do so further in a reddit comment, which was later even further supported by Evil Geniuses' manager and former SpeedGaming.int manager Charlie 'Monolith' Yang, both statements can be found here

ImbaTV, the organizers behind i-League, have now released an official response, in which they officially "deprive them [Cloud 9] of their qualification for participating in i-League Season 3." In addition, they have stated that Sneaky Nyx Assassin's, who placed second behind C9 in the American qualifier, could not attend the LAN on short notice, thus the spot was given to a Chinese team.

As a response to Aui_2000 and Monolith, ImbaTV has stated that they "have been keeping obeying the principle of openness and transparency on the distribution of our total prize money. After the competition,we organizer have even posted out the cost detail of this tournament. There is no possibility of misleading in terms of the prize." As for the travel stipends, ImbaTV usually books the trips for the teams themselves, but C9 asked to book the flights themselves and be reimbursed afterwards "and we've reached a consensus on this issue."

Regarding the payment methods, ImbaTV states that they "offer[s] the option of cash-distribution to overseas teams, and it's not compulsory. Players have the right to choose their own distribution methods freely."
