The SEA groupstage of StarLadder X has reached a critical point, as three teams are tied for the first place that leads to LAN playoffs. Since the tie cannot be resolved by the head-to-head results between the teams, a tiebreaker will be held to designate the squad that earns the ticket to Kiev.
The regular duration of the StarLadder X SEA division is over, but we have yet to find out the top contender of the region. Johnny's Revenge, IAP.XtcN and Titan have all gathered a total of nine victories, and thus they are tied for the first place of the leaderboard. While the head-to-head results between the teams may suffice to solve similar issues between two teams, in this case they are unable to determine the winner.
The situation could have been avoided with certain results in today's matches. The closing match of the season was between IAP.XtcN and Johnny's Revenge, two of the tied squads. With a victory, Execration would have secured their trip to Ukraine, as they also managed to defeat Titan early in the season. However, their Chronosphere-based lineup was unable to overpower JR's Tiny-Io combination, resulting in the ultimate defeat.
