i-League Day 2: iG and VG pull ahead in first 6.82 LAN

The second day of i-League was caught off guard by the introduction of the new balance patch 6.82. The teams were forced to play on the new patch and it resulted in many back and forth games. Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming emerged victorious and will face off against each other tomorrow.

ImbaTV's i-League fell victim to Valve's new balance patch, as 6.82 was released last night, forcing teams to almost reset their strategies. Invictus Gaming and Newbee nonetheless still relied on a 6.81 draft in game one, with iG relying on the lately popular farming Jakiro. A back and forth game with a lot of engagements and exchanges resulted in the TI2 champion emerging victorious with Ferrari_430 proving once more that his Ember Spirit is worth considering a ban for.

Game two saw a few different picks with iG acquiring a Spectre and Newbee relying on a Morphling. The game proved to be a nailbiter with both teams reclaiming the advantage one after the other. It eventually turned into Newbee's favor with the TI4 champions taking down five raxes. The team however was unable to seal the deal and iG fought their way back. A stellar team effort brought the team around fan favorite ChuaN back into the game and a series of won teamfights resulted in an all winning push for iG.

In the second match of the day, LGD.CDEC took on Vici Gaming. The TI4 runner-up however looked quite shaky in game one and Maybe's Ember Spirit ran them ragged. Much like iG, Vici however managed to pull it back into their favor with individual mistakes on LGD.CDEC's part. VG did not hesitate to capitalize on these mistakes, taking a 1-0 lead.

With the new changes in mind, LGD.CDEC looked to shake things up in game two, picking up a Tusk and Crystal Maiden support duo. It didn't work out quite as well as they planned though with VG pulling ahead after dominating the midlane with a farming Leshrac and a supporting Sven, mustering 12 denies within three minutes to take away from Void's exp gain. VG however could not bank on this small advantage and despite Black^'s Midas they fell behind, giving away crucial kills and losing the map control. Maybe managed to recover on his Void and his team continued to gradually improve their advantage. Vici Gaming had an easy answer though as their Drow Ranger and Visage combo proved to be a nuisance, taking down towers with just familiars and thus closing down the gap. With a bit of "Rat Dota" and a timely Chronosphere dodge by Black^, Vici managed to turn things around and take down LGD.CDEC 2-0.

The action will continue tomorrow as Rave will take on TongFu.Oldboys at 10.00 CEST. The match will be followed up by the clash of the titans between Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming
