Denial Dota announced today that they will be replacing their mid laner Arben 'Arbenlol' Forest-Sisalem with Thibault ' Funzii' Calonne. This isn't a loss of his as a member of the team however, as Arben will still be playing as a substitute while he pursues other endeavors.
Denial Dota has mixed up their roster today, pushing their current mid player 'Arbenlol' with a new addition to the team 'Funzii'. This does not spell the end for his run with the team though, as they plan to keep Arbenlol on the team as a substitute while he pursues other endevors.
It is actually quite interesting to note that Funzii has a history with with some of the members of his new team. Back at the International 3, fellow Denial players Titouan 'Sockshka' Merloz and Sebastien '7ckngMad' Debs were part of the Quantic Gaming roster and played alongside Funzii. Beyond Quantic, Funzii has been competing in the professional Dota scene for over 3 years, having played on teams mTw and Western Wolves.
With the announcements of these roster changes, it would seem that Denial is going to be filling to slot for the last team in the Dota Pit League Season 2. This tournament will be the first test of the newly mixed teams ability to compete, as they fight against teams such as Evil Geniuses, Cloud9 and Alliance.
Both the Team Mananger, Joe, and Funzii had the following statements to make about the changes in the teams roster;
