Brackets released for i-League LAN finals

The brackets of the i-League LAN finals have been announced, with five Chinese and three foreign teams battling it out for over $300,000. The tournament will feature Tongfu's OldBoys and DK's new squad in their first ever LAN event since their roster's launch.

Now that the dust has settled from the i-League qualifiers, the final challengers have been decided for the tournament's finals. Eight teams will attend the main event in Shanghai, five teams from China, two from Europe and one from Korea. The event will last for five days starting on the 25th of September, and will boast a crowdfunded prize pool of $311,705.

Due to the layout of the bracket, we will see at least two Chinese teams exit after the first round of matches. However, with four Chinese teams on one side of the single-elimination bracket, it is guaranteed that a Chinese team find their way into the Grand Finals. This means that, unlike WEC, the possibility of no home team reaching the final is nullified. It should be noted that this is the first offline event for both Tongfu.OB (the all-star veteran squad of TongFu) and DK, with DK showcasing their new roster for the first time since its initial creation.

Live broadcasting of the matches will be provided by provided by both joinDOTA and BeyondTheSummit in English. For a detailed schedule of i-League as well as further information regarding the tournament, check out our coverage hub here.
