Empire defeats Virtus.Pro to qualify for MSI Beat It LAN tournament

Empire defeated Virtus.Pro today in the best-of-five MSI Beat It qualifier finals with a score of 3-2. With their victory, Team Empire has solidified their position at the LAN finals in Taipei, Taiwan.

The European division for MSI Beat It has ended with Team Empire edging out Virtus.Pro in a best-of-five series with a score of 3-2. Empire will be the first team to move on to the LAN finals in Taipei, Taiwan this November.

Virtus.Pro had an excellent run in the losers bracket after being initially knocked down by Empire, defeating teams like Cleave, Coast, and Team Tinker. However, Empire proved themselves to be too much to handle in the finals. Team Tinker had a notable finish of third place after falling to both Russian teams consecutively. It should also be mentioned that Virtus.Pro played with an unofficial roster and Empire used standin Solo for Vanskor, who recently left the team.

The European division is the first of eight regions to finish their qualifiers, with the others being SEA, America, China, Middle East, APAC, Africa, and Australia. Each region will have one winner move on to the LAN finals.

The SEA qualifiers are set to take place next beginning on September 1st-6th. Six slots have been filled thus far with the last two being reserved for the two winners of the Wildcard tournament
