The Summit 2 announced - will take place this fall

BeyondTheSummitTV just announced the second installment of their own DotA2 tournament, The Summit 2. The offline finals will take place from 3rd to 7th December 2014, adding an extra day to the LAN event compared to the previous The Summit.

The Summit is a tournament held by BeyondTheSummitTV, featuring several teams from East and West. Through crowdfunding, its previous version reached a $102,000 total prizepool, with 30% being used for the teams' travel expenses. Evil Geniuses managed to finish first after the thrilling 3-2 final against DK (featuring two Phantom Assassins). Their $46,000 reward was the highest prize ever earned by the organization in DotA2 before The International 4.

The new version of The Summit, aka The Summit 2, will be held this fall. The Los Angeles finals will take place from December 3rd to 7th. Further details for the teams, the qualifiers and the format of the tournament will be released soon. You can get an idea of how The Summit works in our coverage hub here. However, the format of the qualifiers may be altered to suit the busy schedule of the participants during autumn and winter.
