ImbaTV announces I-League, to include western teams

The first tournament post The International Dota 2 Championships 2014 has been announced. ImbaTV will be hosts to I-League; a tournament boasting a base prize pool of 100,000 RMB (~$16,000). Alongside the Chinese, 4 western teams will also be a part of the global tournament slated to be held in Shanghai.

I-League is scheduled to take place from August 4th to 31st with online and offline phase. Chinese as well as 4 western teams will be a part of this competition and fight for a base prize pool of 100,000 RMB. The rest of the bonus will be left up to the community as the organizers are also including crowd funding as another source of increasing the overall prize pool.

The competition will be divided into three qualifiers to determine teams that will compete at the LAN finals in Shanghai, China from August 28th to 31st. The qualifier dates can be found below:
 

  • North America (August 4th to 10th)
  • Europe (August 11th to 17th)
  • China (August 18th to 24th)


Two teams from each qualifiers will proceed to the LAN play-offs whilst additional two teams from China will make it directly to the groupstages via a community poll.
