Titan eliminated, Newbee secures $500,000 and at least Lower Bracket spot

Newbee have eliminated Titan Gaming after a three game series to send home the last SEA hope for TI4. After a hard fought game two with Titan making an enormous comeback to stretch the series out, they ultimately fell to a level one Roshan play from Newbee.

Both teams started game one by drafting a strong midgame fighting line up, but Newbee had the added advantage of having a Morphling, which gave them arguably much better late game potential than Titan. Titan had a timing window they really needed to hit, requiring both Net's Sand King and Ky.Xy's Brewmaster to pick up their Blink Dagger's quickly to start taking the fight to Newbee. The game started off badly for the SEA hopefuls as they committed two gank attempts onto Hao's Morphling at mid, which both failed.

As a result the Morphling managed to farm and with a few counter kills, Newbee essentially managed to win every lane. Net played an impressive Sand King, delivering some almost clutch Epicenter's as the team's last hope. But all the Titan heroes were left trailing Newbee, who transitioned very quickly into a five man snowball that mowed down Titan systematically to take the first game.

In the second game Titan picked up the Morphling and took a much better early game. The rotations were spot on from supports Net and XTiNcT, which gave Titan a small early lead. This lead was actually increased by Newbee committing Gush, Lucent Beam, Sunstrike and Eclipse to a replicate of Viper. Ky.xY then replicated in to take advantage of Newbee's mistake, taking a solid three for one trade.

The Titan advantage didn't last for long, as the Chinese showed great patience to grind out a farm advantage and took a few too many pick offs across the map for Titan to be able to maintain a lead. Newbee pushed into the high ground and took the first set of barracks in the midlane. Despite Newbee having a significant lead in objectives and networth, Titan did very well to hold on and repel highground pushes and ganks. The crucial turning point was a huge teamfight at the Roshan pit, with OHy catching out Hao, getting him onto the high ground and into the Shadow Shaman wards.

The story of the game from then on was really phenomenal play from OHy on the Batrider managing to catch out Hao nearly every single time their was a fight. Titan even got him to buy back straight into a second death, putting the Newbee carry hope on the sidelines. Again there was a massive win for Titan in the top lane at the Radiant tier two, which resulted from impeccable positioning from OHy and Net in the tree line.

Titan took a counter barracks and eventually, off the back of their incredible team fight wins, forced Newbee back into their base. Newbee held a convincing gold lead for 41 minutes of the game, whereas Titan had the gold lead for only 14, showing just how much of a comeback Titan mounted to actually win the game. This win forced the game three and continued Titan's hopes for tournament survival.

The second level one Roshan of this year's International was taken before the creep spawn of the final game by Newbee to claim a truly dominating lead against Titan. Having all of their heroes at level two, they then took first blood and the all of the tier one towers from Titan, leaving them crippled. The game just continued down hill for Titan with the first set of barracks being taken by Newbee at 13 minutes. The next set followed quickly after at 14 minutes.

Titan mounted one last defence with their AoE combination of Dark Seer, Sand King and Naga Siren setting up with sleep. It wasn't enough and Titan had to call the GG after, putting them out of the tournament. This will be the first International without a South East Asian team in the top eight.

It's the holy grail of The International 4 coverage!
