Na'Vi signs NAR, expands to North America

Natus Vincere have officially signed up North American Rejects as their second Dota 2 team, and in doing so they successfully venture into the North American competitive scene.

As reported few days back, rumours surfaced on Natus Vincere possibly acquiring North American Rejects as their second Dota 2 team to represent the organisation in the American continent. Today, the air has been cleared as Na'Vi has officially signed up The Rejects, who will now represent the organisation under the tag of Na'Vi.US.

Carry player of the team, Sneyking, had the following to say:

I think the name Na’Vi summons an image of unparalleled success and excellence. We will strive to live up to that excellence, and create an incredible legacy of our own. We have a long-lasting commitment not only to the community, but to each other as teammates.

Captain and drafter of the team, Brax, issued the following statement:

Most people in the community see North American Dota as something transient, temporary and sub-par. We're here to change that mentality, and prove that the American Dota scene has a lot to offer, in both talent and personality. We're immensely proud to be joining one of the most storied organizations in Dota2, and we're ready to live up to that pride.

Meanwhile, ZeroGravity, Na'Vi's CEO proudly says:

We’ve been trying to open North America division for over a year. It’s definitely a huge step forward from Na`Vi’s evolution perspective. The Dota 2 squad is just the first stage in our plan of Natus Vincere project development in North America. We are going to take on two more squads in other disciplines. Our approach to selection of new players representing Na`Vi.US brand will be quite prudent and demanding.

The Ukrainian giants with this acquisition have expanded their wings to the US, and will have two teams representing them at the most prestigious Dota 2 LAN event ever; The International Dota 2 Championships 2014. The primary squad comprising of Puppey and company were directly invited owing to their runners-up tag, whilst Brax and company had to grill through the American qualifiers for The International where they overwhelmed fellow countrymen Team Liquid.

Na'Vi.US roster:

United States Braxton 'Brax' Paulson (C) - Offlane
United States Ioannis 'Fogged' Loucas - Support
United States Steven 'Korok' Ashworth - Solo Mid
United States Jing Jun 'Sneyking' Wu - Carry
Canada Theeban '1437' Siva - Hard Support
