The first day of the TI4 American Qualifiers is over, and every team played from four to six matches against their opponents today. So far, the clear leader is the undefeated NAR, followed by Team Liquid and TOP5. The games continue tomorrow at 18:00 CEST.
It has been quite a day for the participants of the American qualifiers of The International 4. The 11 teams just finished their day one matches, and one can already get a general idea of the final groupstage standings. The top-four squads of the round-robin phase will advance to the double-elimination playoffs that lead to Seattle.
The current leader of the race is North American Rejects, the team that managed to remain undefeated in their four games today, taking down both Team Liquid and Revenge in the process. Team Liquid shares the second place with TOP5, with both teams having a 4-1 gamescore. The final four is completed by Sneaky Nyx Assassins with 4-2, with SNA being the team with the most games played so far. When it comes to the other side of the table, the two 'substitutes' of the American qualifiers Shadows of the Past and Isurus Gaming faced issues in their matches today, especially Isurus with six defeats in six matches.
Today's matches provided the first taste of what is coming in this year's version of The International. The games are scheduled to continue on Tuesday, May 13th, an action-packed day with over 20 matches. Many challengers are already approaching the end of their journey, and they will have to prove their worth if they hope to earn the ticket to Key Arena.
