With two victories in the best-of-three matches against Fluffy Bears and Alliance, Cloud9 managed to earn a spot in the grand finals of DH Bucharest. They will find out their opponent after today's final match, the Lower Bracket final between Alliance and Fluffy Bears.
The Dreamhack Bucharest tournament is currently taking place in Romania, with two days full of juicy eSports. Alliance, Cloud9 and Fnatic deployed their full rosters in the battle for the $25,000. The fourth participant is Fluffy Bears, a team comprised of two Na'Vi members and three Romanian stand-in players. Five matches were scheduled for the first day of the event (April 26th) while the grand final will take place tomorrow. (April 27th).
Upper Bracket
The day started with Fluffy Bears going against Cloud9, with the latter grabbing two comfortable victories using the Ember Spirit for SingSing in both matches. Fnatic also deployed the Ember Spirit to snatch a game of Alliance, but the Swedes emerged victorious from the remaining two games of the best-of-three series.
Upper Bracket Final : Cloud9 vs Alliance [Winner : Cloud9]
Winning their matches in Round One, Cloud9 and Alliance crossed their swords in the Winners Bracket final for a spot in the DH Bucharest grand final.
Lower Bracket
Being defeated in the upper bracket, Fluffy Bears and Fnatic had to face each other to remain alive in the battle for the $25,000. Using Treant Protector in both games, the Bears were able to counter Fnatic's early aggressiveness, with both Dendi and XBOCT being able to find enough farming space to have the required impact in the game. Fnatic even deployed a surprisingly strong solo Ogre Magi for H4nn1 during the second game, but they were still unable to control the core heroes of the Fluffy Bears.
With their victory, Fluffy Bears advanced to the second round of the Lower Bracket. Their next obstacle will be Alliance, with the best-of-three match scheduled to take place at 19:00 CET. The victor of the Lower Bracket finals will secure the second grand final spot, and will proceed to play against Cloud9 tomorrow.
