FragBite Masters #2 Consolidation stage : Eight teams fight for two playoff spots

The second season of FragBite Masters tournament is under way, and the initial group stage has just concluded. The teams that placed third and fourth will join the two squads that arrived through the open qualifiers in the battle for the last two playoff spots.

The $31,000 Swedish tournament FragBite Masters made a dynamic comeback with its second season this April, inviting 12 renowned European squads and hosting a massive open qualifier for two more teams capable of overcoming their opposition. The invited teams were split in three groups of four teams, with the top two participants of each group securing a spot in the playoffs, and the bottom two moving to the consolidation stage. It is there that they are joined by the two winners of the open qualifiers, for a single elimination bracket that will determine the two remaining members of the playoffs.

The consolidation stage started today, with Team Dog facing the Bulgarian underdogs Vast Cast, and Team Dog claiming a comfortable win. The other battle of the day was between tRICKED and 4FC, with the Swedish squad grabbing the victory in the best-of-one series. The consolidation stage will continue on April 13th, with the match between MeetYourMakers and Monomaniac Gaming taking place at 17:00 CEST. With Sigma.int forfeiting their match against NEXT.Kz, the squad from Kazakhstan will be moving to the next round of the consolidation stage by default.

Live broadcasting will be provided in English by the GD Studio via TwitchTV.
