Gfinity to host $10,000 dota 2 tournament

Gfinity has recently announced their debut into the competitive scene of Dota 2 by introducing a six team pro league and five open tournaments with a total prize pool of $10,000.

With Gfinity announcing various $10,000 tournaments for a variety of game genres, the official format for Dota 2 tournament is announced as well. The $10,000 prize pool will be split into two; $7,500 will be allocated to the six team Pro League while the remaining $2,500 will be used for five consecutive weekly 128 slots open tournaments with each tournament being run over the course of two days.

The $7,500 Invitational pro league will feature the top European Dota 2 teams fighting for the bulk of the prize pool. The details on the teams invited are currently unknown and will be announced on a future date.

Tournament 1 - 24/02/2014 (Ro128, Ro64, Ro32, Ro16)
                          25/02/2014 (Ro8, Ro4, Finals)

Tournament 2 - 03/03/2014 (Ro128, Ro64, Ro32, Ro16)
                          04/03/2014 (Ro8, Ro4, Finals)

Tournament 3 - 10/03/2014 (Ro128, Ro64, Ro32, Ro16)
                          11/03/2014 (Ro8, Ro4, Finals)

Tournament 4 - 17/03/2014 (Ro128, Ro64, Ro32, Ro16)
                          18/03/2014 (Ro8, Ro4, Finals)

Tournament 5 - 24/03/2014 (Ro128, Ro64, Ro32, Ro16)
                          25/03/2014 (Ro8, Ro4, Finals)

The five open tournaments will each have a prize pool of $500 and are free to sign up for teams across Europe. Interested teams have until 17:00 GMT on the 17th of Febuary 2014 to sign up here. Stay tuned to GosuGamers as we bring you the latest updates.
